Holotropic Breathwork is a psychospiritual experiential method developed by Stan and Christina Grof, pioneers of transpersonal psychology and psychedelic research. The technique involves a combination of breathing, evocative music, focused bodywork, and mandala drawing to explore realms of the psyche not ordinarily accessible. The Holotropic method mediates access to emotionally relevant childhood memories, sequences of psychological death and rebirth, and a broad spectrum of transpersonal experiences. Participants of the workshop will alternate in the roles of “breathers” and "sitters". This full-day Holotropic breathwork workshop, offered in conjunction with Melbourne’s Ox-Head School of Transpersonal Psychology, will be facilitated by two trained Holotropic Breathwork practitioners.
